Get to Know Your Teacher
Hello! My name is Zuleyka Torres Camacho, and I have called Delta Junction home for the past ten years. During my time here, I worked at the Child Development Center in Fort Greely, where I witnessed many of our students grow and develop into the extraordinary individuals they are today.
For the last three years, I have been part of Delta High School, initially as a paraprofessional before transitioning to the role of science teacher for grades 9–12 last school year. My background is in epidemiology and emergency room nursing, and I also had the opportunity to teach college nursing in my hometown, Puerto Rico, for two years. I am passionate about making science an enjoyable and engaging subject for all students. My goal is to help every student discover the wonders of science and support them in their academic journey. I am here to help and look forward to another exciting year at Delta High School.
